The Power of Color

I'm thrilled to share that my linocut print "Bond" will be part of an upcoming show in Seattle. See below for the official announcement. If you're in the area, I hope you'll get a chance to see the show. I plan to be at the April 12 reception, and it would be great to see you there.

Join us for our Artists' Reception and Art Walk for The Power of Color exhibit at Fogue Studios & Gallery in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle on Saturday, April 12, 5:00-8:00pm (plus awards!) and May 10, 5:00-8:00pm. Enjoy the exhibit, meet the artists, enjoy some food and drink. All are welcome!

Whether used subtly and judiciously or with wild abandon, color has the power to evoke memories and emotions. It can communicate a mood, a feeling, or time of day. It can unify or divide—for example, many people agree that shades of blue are among their favorites. Some colors, like orange, are more polarized in terms of preference—some people love it, others hate it. Color juxtapositions can also create energy and enhance the depth and dynamism of a piece of artwork. As we begin our climb out of the long, dark Pacific Northwest winter, and the weather forecast teases us with the hope of sunbreaks, let’s celebrate ‘The Power of Color’.

The exhibit dates are Saturday, April 5 through Sunday, May 25, 2025. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday, Noon-5:00pm. Visit https://foguestudios.com for more information.
