The Black-capped Chickadee seems like the perfect image for this fundraising effort. They are often seen living in diverse flocks, and their "danger!" call alerts everyone, from other songbirds to mammals such as squirrels, that a predator is present. Description: "My Little Chickadee" is an original handmade block print of a Black-capped Chickadee perched on an Alder Branch, engaging the viewer at eye level. The intelligence of this charming little songbird is evident, and if you listen very carefully, you just might hear his distinctive "Chickadee-dee-dee" call.

Printmaking Process: I hand-printed each print on white 100% cotton paper (archival and acid-free) with lightfast ink. For each of the 6 colors, I carved out more and more of the same linoleum block by hand and then printed that color. This method is called reduction printmaking because you reduce the block as you carve more away. That means you cannot go back and print a color again. Thus, this is a limited edition of 25 prints, which I have signed by hand. 

Due to the handmade nature of printmaking, there may be slight variations between individual prints, making each one a unique piece of art. Print sold alone (without mat or frame.)
